Why DAP Reject Independent Panel To Investigate BERSIH 3.0? - pakdin.my

BERSIH 3.0 is really causing trouble to the opposition. Not just that they have lost quite a number of support, they also failed to twist facts to prove that the riot was cause by the police and not rioters. From their failure, they had to accuse rioters who caused chaos were undercover police officers. For that, bloggers and news portals who support them became tired of having to justify the chaos that they have caused.

To reduce the tension, the government has announced independent panel to investigate BERSIH 3.0 which later received sarcastic response from the opposition. In May 12, DAP announced a boycott on the independent panel in investigating BERSIH 3.0.

It seems natural for DAP where after making various accusations to their enemies, they would push and demand for investigation. But when things have been investigated, they would make various lies to object or boycott the panel and the result if thing s do not go their way.

Previously, they made the same move in the issue of the death of Teoh Beng Hock. If we are to see this closely, BERSIH issue went the same way where they accuse the EC for not being transparent, and then denied all EC’s efforts to improve election system.

DAP’s excuse this time around is that they would not accept the appointment of Mohammad Hanif Omar as the chief panel for the investigation, on the excuse that he took a partisan stance on BERSIH when he claimed that pro-communists were involved and that he supported claim made by Prime Minister, Najib Abdul Razak that BERSIH 3.0 Assembly was a try to bring down the government.

However, in accusing Tun Hanif as a partisan, DAP suggested that the government should appoint those who are less partisan such as Suhakam. DAP also supported opinion from the Bar Council where they said that the investigation panel did not have the complete legal work frame and did not provide legal immunity to those who were involved in the prosiding and did not have much power to provide subpoena to witnesses or claiming documents.

The fact is, everyone is well aware that Suhakam and the Bar Council are two bodies that have never acted fair, bias, unprofessional and twisted just to defend lawbreakers and to oppose the government. Both are also in doubt where they might have relationship with foreign elements and that they may receive foreign funds.

Thus, if we need to choose between two partisan sides, wouldn’t it be better for us to choose Tun Hanif who is proven to be a person that has contributed a lot for the country, just, patriotic and very professional in his service to secure our nation?

We do not understand why DAP need to doubt Tun Hanif but provide full trust to Suhakam and the Bar Council when the Bar Council was proven to have hidden the real facts on the chaos of BERSIH 3.0 like what was revealed by Ranjit Singh Dhillon on YouTube.

The information was backed with a civil suit made by a member of the Bar Council, Mohd. Khairul Azam Abdul Aziz who claimed that the bar Council had failed to act as a professional body when within less than a five hour meeting to decide on the BERSIH 3.0 resolution, revealed clearly the scandals of lies, bias, doubt etc.

It is clear here that bodies that were suggested by DAP cannot be trusted.

DAP’s behavior of supporting criminals, rioters and law breakers is just sad. With that, it is wrong for us to state that DAP is actually scared to be professional to let Tun Hanif lead the investigation of BERSIH 3.0.

It is not impossible that DAP has something that they need to hide regarding BERSIH 3.0, just like the case of Teoh Beng Hock. Perhaps DAP is worried if their secrets on funds, mastermind and other things that are related to BERSIH 3.0 might be revealed if full investigation is led by such huge name such as Tun Hanif, a former law enforcement officer that is highly respected by all Malaysians.
