Menurut seorang pemerhati politik, Raja Petra Kamaruddin (RPK), yang mendakwa hanya dengan cara penipuan sahaja PH boleh menang.
Pemantau hanya boleh melihat undi masuk ke dalam kotak undi, tetapi dalam hal penjumlahan di buat oleh pegawai SPR dan bukan pemantau.
RPK membuat andaian mantan Naib presiden PPBM, Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman yang juga bekas Pengerusi Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) ini masih ada pengaruh kepada bekas anak buah di SPR.

However, that is not what Pakatan Harapan’s intel says. According to Pakatan’s own internal assessment, they are going to lose the by-election tomorrow by about 2,000 votes or so.
There is only one way Pakatan or PPBM can win tomorrow’s by-election. And that would be to cheat. And PPBM has the chief of cheaters in their team — Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman.
Rashid used to be with the Election Commission (EC) or SPR for 29 years from 1979 to 2008 (with a short break of two years from 1995 to 1997) and was involved in six general elections. And, according to Bersih plus many NGOs, Rashid was instrumental in rigging all the general elections since Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad became Prime Minister in 1981.
