By Datuk Huan Cheng Guan
Truly, it is the season to be jolly or so the carol goes. As if to add to the gaiety and laughter of the festive season, Lim Guan Eng became the Joker of the Year when he declared that Pakatan Rakyat would be able to solve the flood woes of Pahang in just one term if it comes to power in the state and in Putrajaya.
“We promise. If we win in Pahang and if we win in Putrajaya, give us one term and the floods in Pahang will be resolved,” Lim said in his opening speech at the 17th Selangor DAP ordinary convention in Shah Alam yesterday morning.
What a load of baloney!
Pakatan Rakyat won control over Penang for two terms and what can we see in their ‘flood’ record?
Floods, floods and more floods!
If he cannot even solve the flood problem in his own backyard from 2008 to 2013, what gives Lim Guan Eng the right to declare that Pakatan Rakyat can solve the flood woes in just ONE TERM? What a big joke!
And here is his ‘impeccable’ record of how he cannot solve the flood problem in Penang. I expect a list of creative excuses and the usual ‘It’s all BN’s fault’ response from Lim Guan Eng, whose favourite past time seems to be talking big at public to gain mileage and achieving little in reality.

Lim Guan Eng has no moral right to refer to Paul Low as a man without integrity and someone who did not support transparency. He should stand in front of a mirror and do deep soul-searching.
For far too long, Lim Guan Eng has fooled citizens with his empty rhetoric forgetting that with the click of a mouse, we can crosscheck the validity and accuracy of his statements. It would do him good to check his speeches before delivering them publicly.
It is also time he walks his talk instead of spewing empty talk from his mouth and expect the audience to laud and magnify his bullshit.
This is Ubah for Penangites. Look at the scenes in the following photographs and judge for yourself whether he is a man of his words. If he cannot resolve flood woes in Penang, he should put a stopper in his mouth and get down to serious flood mitigation work! Don’t be boastful, Lim Guan Eng!
