24MP APS-C Sensor and WiFi functionality on a budget camera really brought up the minimum standard that entry level DSLRs should adhere to. However there has been quite a bit of uproar about the specs being better than say the D7000 but according to sample images found on Flickr, the D3200 shows itself to be definitely still an entry level shooter.
From what we can see based on the samples is that the D3200’s 24MP sensor is a great amount of detail as expected from the sheer megapixel count, however the low light performance of the camera leaves a lot to be desired. So while the specs are great, it’s more than just the megapixel count which makes the camera.
