Pakatan Rakyat (PR) has written off Selangor in the coming general election given the people’s opinion on them have changed tremendously from like to dislike.
Khalid Ibrahim and gang can no longer make them like his administration and policies, he and gang can no longer lie to the voters as the voters can see through them already.
The Watergate and talamgate and more ‘gates’ coming his way, the chances of retaining voters’ confidence are dipping every day, especially among the Malays and those below average income group, the bulk of the voters in the state.
The DAP convention last week end is an indication of the dwindling support PR faces and the reality worries them, losing a state and support of voters that they have cheated since 2008.
Their cheats are no longer accepted and the problem is this dwindling confidence and support not only happening in Selangor but all over the country.
The Malays particularly, who have supported them are practically ‘running away’ not just walking away since Anwar Ibrahim and gang have abandoned them and continue chasing after their own dreams.
So Selangor is no longer in the ‘political map’ of PR and even then, Penang is consider as 50-50 despite Lim Guan Eng and DAP’s strong Chinese support there.
The Malays around the country are now focusing their loyalty to Malay unity given the current trend where the Malays are being sidelined in every field, even jobs in Malay-owned GLCs.
And this of course, due to the campaign by Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak himself and the mistakes PR made in the states they controlled.
And the latest blunder by PKR vice-president who is Anwar’s daughter Nurul Izzah on Islam and Malays have almost hit the Malays right in their hearts, the most sensitive issue that the Malays would protect with their life.
Nurul Izzah, whose attempt was to strengthen the non-Malay support have now lost more Malay support which explain why she wanted to take legal action against those media she accused of spinning her statement.
However, she did not mention Malaysiakini and other portals that posted her first statement on the issue, the statements that the main print media plucked.
What she does not know is that the Malays are watching her every statement, not Umno or BN but the Malays who voters on the streets and the in the kampungs, after this issue.
They are no longer the Malays who would follow whatever Anwar said blindly as they already experienced the many promises Anwar gave that have not been fulfilled and now Anwar’s daughter talking about Islam when she herself has only half-knowledge on the subject
