Anwar Ibrahim is fuming mad…truly mad that he even told his lawyers to initiate legal suits against Utusan Malaysia and TV3 for alleging he is involved in instigating the Pinoys to go to Lahad Datu Sabah.
Utusan and TV3 took the news from Philippines media which quoted the Philippines intelligence, a source that the Philippines government trusted and believed, a source that would form the basis of decision in the Palace.
So what Utusan and TV3 did was just quote the media and the source and for that Anwar was fuming mad, one wonders why.
Why didn’t Anwar sue the Philippines media that came out with the news and the source of Utusan and TV3 news?
That would be better for Anwar who loves the international limelight, who loves the foreign media for helping him run-down Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and Malaysia, the country where he was born, bred, educated and being cared for like a ‘baby’.
Anwar is actually trying to do damage control by suing the two media so that the court will put a gag order thus Anwar can keep whatever secret he’s hiding safely.
Anwar is actually scared of the truth, whatever the truth are, in the Lahad Datu incident that took the life of nine policemen, innocent policemen who are non-partisan, who chose the career to feed their family, who placed high hopes on the government to protect them and the families.
As for them, they chose the profession to contribute to the nation, to serve the nation and protect her citizens from internal threats, to make sure that citizens of the country can live their day without fear and sleep in the night without disturbances and worries.
Anwar, whether he is involved as the intelligence report revealed, directly or indirectly, is now running scared because he has to explain in detail what exactly was the meeting with Nur Misuari.
To prove his innocence, he has to tell out the truth, not to express anger and sue – this kind of act – anger and sue is an act of someone who is trying to cover his guilt.
If he is a leader who is not involved with anything in Lahad Datu, he could have just detail out his meeting with Misuari, to convince Malaysians as well as his supporters who are distancing themselves from him now that he is indeed innocent.
No need to sue because if he is truthful, he should also sue all the media – internal and foreign – to prove his innocence not only to Malaysians but the world community at large.
By singling out Utusan and TV3 only, Anwar shows to Malaysians that his act is nothing more than an act of vengeance, a vendetta he has on the two media that have make him look like fools all along.
