Was that why Muhyiddin came before the Umno supreme council to expose this conspiracy — as a sort of payback against those who were behind the move to oust Najib but which he ended up paying for?
This was what Utusan Online reported today:
Tuduhan Editor Malaysia Today, Raja Petra Kamarudin, mengenai penglibatan ahli-ahli Jawatankuasa Kira-Kira Wang Negara (PAC) yang menjual maklumat mengenai 1Malaysia Development Bhd.
Ex-PAC Chairman and Deputy Home Minister Nur Jazlan Mohamed said that there is no basis or evidence for me to allege that one or more of the members of the PAC had sold information to the Wall Street Journal. Apparently he was speaking on behalf of the entire PAC.
First of all, how do we know that he did not sell any information? Secondly, how does he know that none of the other PAC members sold any information to the Wall Street Journal? Thirdly, the information that the Wall Street Journal published came from the PAC, so how does he explain that?
Contrary to what Nur Jazlan said, there is a basis for suspecting that one or more of the PAC members sold that information because only PAC would have had such information. More importantly, when someone is under suspicion then that person has to prove that the allegation is not true and until and unless that happens then that person must be presumed guilty.
The entire episode surrounding 1MDB is being based on ‘you are guilty until and unless you can prove your innocence’. Even Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is being subjected to these standards. Najib is being challenged to prove that he did not swindle any money from 1MDB as alleged and if he fails to do that then we have to assume he is guilty.
Regarding the RM2.6 billion allegation, Najib is also being asked to prove that the money did not come from 1MDB by showing us his bank accounts. If Najib does not show us his bank account statements then it has to be assumed that the money came from 1MDB.
Why is Nur Jazlan so upset that he is being subjected to the same standards that even the Prime Minister is being asked to comply with. In no uncertainty the Prime Minister is being told that until and unless he can let us view all his bank account details then we will have to assume he is guilty. He is considered guilty until and unless he can prove his innocence.
Would Nur Jazlan not want to prove his innocence by letting us see his bank account details? Nur Jazlan imagines himself as someone very special who can be exempted from the same treatment that the Prime Minister has to be subjected to. The Prime Minister is guilty until and unless he can prove his innocence. Nur Jazlan and the entire PAC, however, are innocent and no one should question their honesty and integrity.
What bullshit is this? And how does he explain how the Wall Street Journal got its hands on information that could have only come from the PAC? It is time these politicians stop making fools of us and stop taking Malaysians for a ride. The border between truth and lies is now so blurred that we no longer can separate fact from fiction.
What I say is the truth, which must not be disputed and questioned. What you say cannot be accepted as truth until and unless you can prove what you say. And these are the same people who say that Malaysians are stupid and cannot think for themselves. It this a surprise when it is you who treats us that way? And just because you are a minister does not mean you are incorruptible.
Nur Jazlan sounds just like Anwar Ibrahim. Raja Petra Kamarudin is not credible and what he says cannot be believed. Raja Petra is lying. And then my ‘lie’ gets proven as the truth in the end when they kick out Khalid Ibrahim as the Selangor Menteri Besar. And my second ‘lie’ gets proven as the truth as well when they kick out PAS from Pakatan Rakyat.
The irony of the Umno Deputy President and ex-Deputy Prime Minister saga is that Muhyiddin Yassin told the Umno supreme council that a conspiracy to topple the Prime Minister exists but he is not involved in it or is part of it. And he knows because they approached him to inform him about it.
It will be interesting to know why the conspirators revealed the conspiracy to someone who claims he was not involved in that conspiracy or was part of it. Was this to get Muhyiddin to back off and not throw his support behind Najib? Or was it to give an impression that since they had approached Muhyiddin then that means he is one of the conspirators?
Anyway, whether Muhyiddin is or is not one of the conspirators, he has certainly paid the price by being removed as the Deputy Prime Minister. And if he is an innocent victim who paid the price for something that others did I am sure this has pissed him off big time.
Was that why Muhyiddin came before the Umno supreme council to expose this conspiracy — as a sort of payback against those who were behind the move to oust Najib but which he ended up paying for?
